Normally I recommend buying a used original Apple SSD from eBay but going back that many years the used SSDs you can find on eBay usually have read errors. ![]() Hi, no a standard SATA 2.5” SSD like the Samsung EVO 860 will not fit in any MacBook Air, the Airs use proprietary connectors for the SSDs, even between different years of Airs they use different connectors with the 2010+ 2011 being the same, the 2012 only being used in the 2012 Air and the 2013 to 2017 using another connector technology type.
